Recovery
Massage can help soreness and how recovered you feel. Stretching can improve flexibility over time, but a post-workout stretch is not a magic eraser for soreness.

Research suggests massage after hard exercise can reduce delayed-onset muscle soreness and may improve perceived recovery or flexibility. It does not consistently translate into an immediate performance boost. That still makes it useful, since feeling less sore can make recovery days more comfortable.
Stretching has a clear place in mobility and flexibility programs. But systematic reviews do not support the idea that a brief post-workout stretch reliably prevents next-day soreness. Think of flexibility as something you build over time rather than something you fix in five minutes after class.
Jaw muscles do not live in isolation. Stress, neck tension and clenching can coexist, but tight muscles are not always the whole diagnosis. Massage may feel good around the neck and face, yet persistent jaw clicking, locking, limited opening, tooth wear or morning jaw pain deserves a dental assessment.
Schedule with Dr. Chione Daniel to check for clenching, tooth wear, bite-related symptoms and other dental causes before assuming it is only muscle tightness.
